The fantastic amount of € 480,000 raised for UNICEF by the 3rd Schafhof Festival in September 2005 is helping to build 23 schools in South Sudan.

After more than two decades of civil war with a death toll of around two million and the destruction of many villages, few schools have been left undamaged.
Especially the girls rarely have an opportunity to go to school. The donations were quickly used to help with specific projects, such as the construction of numerous village schools in Yambio and support for a school for former child soldiers in Rumbek.
